Svenskt Tenn’s table mat becomes a beautiful addition to your table setting. The Delhi print makes it perfect for every occasion. Giant leaves arch over pale pink flower baskets and dazzling butterflies can be detected among the foliage. Josef Frank designed the large patterned Delhi print in 1943-1945, while living in New York. For many, the print’s size must have felt very alien despite William Morris previously stating: “Do not be afraid of large patterns; if properly designed they are more restful to the eye than small ones.”
The placement of the pattern may vary from the one in the picture.

Josef Frank/Svenskt Tenn
Svenskt Tenn developed this design using Josef Frank's print.
Josef Frank grew up in Vienna and studied architecture at Technische Hochschule (the Vienna University of Technology) in 1903 – 1908. In 1925, he founded the Haus & Garten interior firm together with architect colleague Oskar Wlach. Svenskt Tenn hired Josef Frank in 1934 and just a few years later he and Estrid Ericson made their international breakthrough. Although he was already 50 when he left the burgeoning Nazism in Vienna for Sweden, Frank is considered one of Sweden’s most important designers. Read More
